In 1920, Wilson Todd opened St. Louis’ first commercial photography studio. His portraits, designed to capture the opulence of an era, reveal the unique vision of the man behind the camera.
Dazzling images draped in dramatic light and amazing contrast combined with perfect composition defined Todd’s art. Recognized for his exquisite images that explored light and shadow on the human form as well as for his passion and artistry, the St. Louis Art Museum presented an exhibit of Wilson Todd’s work in 2002.
Today, Wilson Todd lives on in a commitment to old world craftsmanship combined with 21st century technology. Under the direction of experienced photographer Daniel J. Stankey, the photographers at Todd Studios use dramatic light and form to capture the unique personality of each client - creating lasting memories in the form of portraits.
